Virgin British Wool
Our wool is spun in a specialized mill with 40 years of experience in the production of worsted yarns for hosiery, located in Gandino (Bergamo), in the heart of one of the most important and advanced industrial areas in Italy.
This mill is incredibly picky about which raw materials they source, and everything produced there is all Oekotex Standard 100 certified. This standard surpasses most national and international regulations to make sure the wool is as natural and dyed using the safest methods available.

We are proud to manufacture our socks in Italy for many reasons, but our commitment to the ethical and environmental impact of our actions is one of our favorites.
In the EU, there is a comprehensive chemicals legislation, spearheaded by REACH and CLP, which aims to ensure a high level of protection of human health and the environment. These agencies maintain that manufacturing done within Italy causes the least amount of impact to the environment.
As well, our factory in Italy has been in the family for generations, and specializes in bespoke, small batch runs, which allows us to work with everyone closely and stay in touch often. We are a small and committed team that’s dedicated to our work and each other.
