From A Small Shop To 3.2M+ Sock Pairs
Early 2000s
Before Sockrates, our founder Samuel Moses spent years in management consulting - long hours, constant travel, and eventually, burnout.
He stepped away to build something of his own, eventually landing on a small retail store selling socks.
2018
A construction accident flooded our retail store, forcing a 10-month rebuild.
What looked like a setback became an opportunity - with the store closed, we had time to focus on something new: high-quality custom socks for businesses, no storefront required.
2018 - 2019
Determined to make something better than what the market offered, we traveled to Castel Goffredo, Italy, the historic "city of socks", and partnered with a family -owned factory.
What started as a small collaboration grew into a true partnership; today, Sockrates makes up over 90% of their business.
2020 - Today
From 10-15 orders a month to 150-350+ orders shipped worldwide, we now serve everyone from startups to Fortune 500 companies like Google, Disney, and Netflix.
Everything built on the same obsession we started with: quality, consistency, and a 7-day turnaround that is still the fastest in the market.
